Elder and Sister Lyman

We opened our mission call today and will be serving as office specialists in the Oakland San Francisco California mission. We enter the Provo MTC on June 27.
We know President Wade very well, as we worked with him in the Young Single Adult program in our stake. He requested to have us come to his mission and he got his wish.
We are very excited to serve and excited to not be very far away from home.

Easter in Oak City

Easter in Oak City is always an adventure. Finding eggs, visiting, pulling a tooth, playing in the ditch, roasting hot dogs, playing Rook, being out-numbered by children 50-1, and of course lots and lots of food!

Everyone went home on Saturday, so we had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for Easter dinner on Sunday!

Grandma's Girl's on Spring Break

Crystal, Maddy, Bailey and Liberty are out of school for Spring Break, so we decided to having a sewing class. We went to Ben Franklin in Kaysville and picked out some fabrics and sewed skirts. Crystal and Maddy did a lot of the sewing, and Bailey and Libby took their turns learning how to guide the fabrics and iron a seam.

It's been a great day. Tomorrow we will "cook"!

Daniel's Project

Friday, April 15, 2011, we went to the Salt Lake Arts Council to see the projects that entered the competition for Young Architects in designing a temporary project for the Ballet West site next to Capitol Theater in downtown Salt Lake. Daniel won the competition. His project is called Sway'd. It will be there for about 2 years or until Ballet West can raise the money to build a building.

He even gets paid (sort of):
